After your breakfast, you will start your tour in Cairo by visiting the great pyramids of Giza The Great Pyramids consist of the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Cheops or Khufu known as the Great Pyramid, the somewhat smaller Pyramid of Khafre or Chephren a few hundred meters to the south-west and the relatively modest-sized Pyramid of Menkaure or Mykerinos a few hundred meters further south-west The Great Sphinx lies on the east side of the complex. We will also visit the Valley Temple which belongs to the pyramid of Chephren. The temple served two purposes. First, it was used for the purification of the mummy of the king before its burial. Second, it was used for the mummification process of the king. 
After having lunch you will be driven to the Egyptian Museum which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world with more than 250,000 genuine artifacts, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen. This treasure includes a collection of gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb over 3500 years before it was discovered in 1922 when his tomb was excavated.
