Right on the edge of the city, on the Giza Plateau, these fourth dynasty pyramids have been wowing travelers for centuries and continue to be one of the country's major highlights.
The Pyramid of Cheops is the largest pyramid of the Giza complex, and its interior of narrow passages can be explored, although there isn't much to see, except a plain tomb chamber with an empty sarcophagus. ( you can get an entry ticket for the Great pyramid to get inside at extra cost)
Farther south on the plateau is the Pyramid of Chephren (also known as the Pyramid of Khefre), with an internal tunnel area, which can be entered, and the smaller Pyramid of Mycerinus (Pyramid of Menkaure). Guarding these mortuary temples is the lion-bodied and pharaoh-faced Sphinx; one of the ancient world's iconic monuments and it is made of one block of Limestone and it is believed that the Sphinx is much older than the pyramids. After your visit to the Great Pyramids move to the Egyptian museum the staggering collection of antiquities displayed in Cairo's Egyptian Museum makes it one of the world's great museums. You would need a lifetime to see everything on show.
The museum was founded in 1857 by French Egyptologist August Mariette and moved to its current home — in the distinctive powder-pink mansion in Downtown Cairo — in 1897. Enjoy the treasures of Yuya and Tuya the grandfather and grandmother of King Tutankhamun and Many unique masterpieces of ancient art only in this Museum. Even when the GEM opens, this iconic building will still be used as a museum. It has not been announced which collections will stay here and which will be moved — except for the Tutankhamun Galleries, which will all eventually be transferred to the GEM. After this have your lunch at the traditional restaurant also you can have some shopping stops for authentic souvenirs then back to your hotel.
A New day on your Egypt adventure starts your day by visiting the Coptic Cairo or as Egyptian call it (Old Cairo) contained within the boundaries of the Roman fortress of Babylon is where the Copts built their churches for protection. For three hundred years, from the conversion of Emperor Constantine until the arrival of Islam, Egypt was a Christian nation, and the Coptic church is one of the oldest communions as well as the church that really pioneered austere monasticism in the remote desert. There are still tens of thousands of Copts in Egypt, many of whom live in Old Cairo. Their most famous church is that of El Muallaqa, the Hanging Church, built over one of the gateways into the old fortress, its nave suspended above the passageway. Also in Old Cairo the saints Sergius church has The Crypt where the Holy Family took shelter during their flee to Egypt, also there is the synagogue of Ben Ezra. (Under restoration) Once home to many Jewish families, few now remain scattered throughout Cairo. There has been a religious building on this site (initially a church, then a synagogue) since at least the 4th century, and the present synagogue houses a Torah on gazelle skin that dates to the 5th century BC. This whole area is a world-famous destination for Pilgrims, then head to Medieval Cairo, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This part of the city was built in the 10th century and primarily served as a royal enclosure for the caliphs. It is accordingly filled with mosques and religious buildings of great historical significance. Inside, you will visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din, a fortress in which stands the imposing the famous mosque of Mohamed Ali also known by the Alabaster mosque as well as the many museums and gardens hidden within its walls. For Karnak was the house of the gods, and its glories were to be feted by all, see the temple's walls, obelisks, a sacred lake, etc. then move to Luxor temple, the temple was built by Amenhotep III (1390-52 BC) but completed by Tutankhamun (1336-27 BC) and Horemheb (1323-1295 BC) and then added to by Rameses II (1279-13 BC). Toward the rear is a granite shrine dedicated to Alexander the Great (332-305 BC) and the temple was dedicated for God Amun the main God of the Empire at this time.

Note the lengthy, colonnaded terrace some of which are 97 ft high, pylons, courts, and hypostyle hall. Inside you'll see the sun court, chapel and sanctuary.
